Today, Virto Commerce, a leading B2B digital commerce platform, launched a new beta release of its product, Virto Commerce Core Version 3, which brings dramatic improvements in architecture for faster deployment times, increased cost savings and even more extensibility of the platform.

"We are excited to announce this major product release because its architectural evolution translates to cost savings and more efficient deployments for our clients across their solutions and digital ecosystem," said Alexander Siniouguine, CEO and founder of Virto Commerce. "We develop our platform for the long-term needs of our customers and that vision drives our technical development to meet future ecommerce requirements."

"This Version 3 release is a culmination of years of development to deliver advanced efficiency, platform speed and extensibility," said Siniouguine. "We are pleased that this release responds directly to our customers’ valuable experience and input on implementing their Virto Commerce solutions."

Client feedback has been instrumental in the development of this Version 3 product release. Leading retailer Rainbow® Sandals will be on the path to implement the improved Virto Commerce platform as part of their deployment project.

"We are impressed with Virto Commerce and excited to see how Version 3 will help us manage project costs across our business," said Jay "Sparky" Longley, CEO of Rainbow® Sandals. "Considering the solution’s total cost of ownership is important to us, and we are pleased to see these strategic improvements that position us for long-term ecommerce success with Virto Commerce."

What's new with Virto Commerce Version 3

  • Platform compatible: ASP.NET Core is cross-platform – which means Virto Commerce can run on macOS, Linux and Windows.
  • Performance: Improved performance of ASP.NET Core, together with some architectural changes lead to significant improvement of the platform performance.
  • Containers: Migrating to ASP.NET Core enables the next steps of platform containerization (a platform becomes Docker ready), automating application deployment, scaling and management (Kubernetes).
  • Extensible: Architectural changes lead to extensibility improvements, and that means the development of features will be cheaper for clients and partner solution development.

Virto Commerce leads the industry with years of experience helping manufacturers and distributors achieve their digital commerce goals and build successful projects on its open-source, API-based platform.
